Word has reached us about the death of David Bavaird, a well known face across the region and former chairman of the North Shields Business Chamber.
David was on the boards of many businesses, charities and schools throughout his professional career and was known as a force of nature in the local area.
He helped to support businesses, launch new ideas and secured opportunities and funding for new and old businesses alike to help them grow and thrive in what is often a very difficult environment.
An enthusiastic and passionate true gentleman, David will be sorely missed by everyone who had the honour of knowing him.
At Whitley Bay Chamber of Trade we are sending our sympathies and thoughts to his family, former colleagues and associates.
David's funeral will be held at 12.30pm, 29 August 2023 at The Church of the Holy Saviour, Broadway Tynemouth NE30 2LS (no black ties preferred) followed by an opportunity to remember him and share stories at the Old Low Lights Heritage Centre, Clifford's Fort Moat, North Shields.
